Atlanta, GA – [December 16th, 2024] – Mesa Capital Partners, founded by Jeff Tucker and Tom Bell, former chairman of Cousins Properties, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Taylor Farms Luxury Apartment Homes, a premier Class A 276-unit apartment community located in the Mallard Creek area, north of downtown Charlotte, NC.
Situated at the crossroads of Interstates 85 and 485 off Odell School Rd, the community offers easy and direct access to all of the Charlotte metro’s employment centers, along with a variety of local retail, dining, and entertainment centers. The property is located approximately a mile south of Concord Mills, North Carolina’s largest retail shopping center.
Taylor Farms will be Mesa’s first acquisition in Charlotte during the current cycle, though Mesa has a previous track record in the area historically, having owned over 600 units in the metro from 2015 to 2017.

Taylor Farms was built in 2023 by Thompson Thrift, an Indianapolis-based developer with an extensive track record of apartment development. The property features 276 apartment homes spread across 3-story, conditioned corridor buildings. The community boasts an array of upscale amenities, including an elegant clubhouse with a standalone fitness building, a dog park, private fenced-in yards, garage parking, an expansive pool deck and pavilion featuring a hot tub, grilling stations, and fire pits.
Mesa secured acquisition financing with Fannie Mae through Northmarq’s Charlotte office. The property will be managed by Pegasus Residential.
Looking toward 2025, Mesa plans to continue to stay active in both the acquisition and development of high-quality Sunbelt apartment communities.
